shortbread tartlets






These cute lil cookies are easy to make and as tasty as they look.





Easy Shortbread Tartlets :


INGREDIENTS:
1 stick of butter, softened
1/4 cup of sugar
1 cup of flour
a jar of your favorite preserves. i recommend strawberry, blueberry, or raspberry.

DIRECTIONS:



Mix all ingredients together. Once the butter's pretty well distributed, mix it by hand until it comes together. knead it a little more for good measure.


you'll know it's mixed up enough when (after you wash the dough off your hands) it doesn't stick to your fingers.

You can either roll into a log and slice to bake, or put through a cookie press for prettier cookies.



Once your cookies are on the cookie sheet, press a small indention in each cookie with a finger. Then, using a lil measuring spoon, add a lil dollop of preserves into the indention of each cookie.



Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). until slightly golden brown, about 12 minutes.






You can leave out the preserves to make regular shortbread cookies, but that's boring
